To Dream or Not To Dream
a poem by Carmen A. Cisnadean
a poem by Carmen A. Cisnadean
To dream or not to dream
Whispered the girl with cotton hair,
Her voice resounding in the wind
Like flying silk, for him.
To dream or not to dream
Reflected in the pupils of her eyes,
A question within flames of passion bursting slowly high
To be released before the dawn, for him.
Whispered the girl with cotton hair,
Her voice resounding in the wind
Like flying silk, for him.
To dream or not to dream
Reflected in the pupils of her eyes,
A question within flames of passion bursting slowly high
To be released before the dawn, for him.
To dream or not to dream
Swarmed in and out her mind,
Like bees fanning their wings above sweet, golden domes of wax
Holding inside her honey thoughts, of him.
Swarmed in and out her mind,
Like bees fanning their wings above sweet, golden domes of wax
Holding inside her honey thoughts, of him.
To dream or not to dream
The girl whispered again,
A sigh wrapped up inside the chambers of her heart
Where she builds castles in the sky, for him.
